Kinkakuji Temple with snow ❄️
This beautiful temple is an iconic World Heritage Site in Japan. It’s stunningly beautiful with snow 🥰
But transportation is a headache to get there. No train station is available nearby. Busses are too crowded and it needs 40 minutes from Kyoto Station to get there. 40 minutes in a crowded bus! It’s literally a hell.
Apart from paying 20 times fare for a taxi, the best reasonable way is probably to use Kitaoji Subway Station, which is approximately 15 minute subway ride from Kyoto Station. This station has a big bus terminal and a huge shopping complex. You can find a bus which brings you to the temple in 12 minutes.
